How wonderful it will be to see you all once again; to gather together, to break bread, to share stories that have been left unshared for nearly two years. Can't wait!
This Spring, as we kick off our supper club series for 2022, we are heading to a restaurant that has been on my supper club radar for at least a year. The food is incredible, the ambience sublime and it is hands down one of my favorite Greek restaurants in our region.
Nostos is at the root of the word nostalgia and means a return to one’s origins, a longing for a special time in our past. Nostos presents a fresh, modern take on Greek culinary culture.
With this philosophy in mind, featured are wonderful and traditional dishes like fresh fish from the Mediterranean Sea, such as branzino, dorado and sardines, seasoned with extra virgin Greek olive oil. In addition, they offer a wide variety of “mezedes”, or small sharing-sized dishes, which are an integral part of Greek dining and reflect the idea that eating is about sharing and socializing.
As with all our past suppers, we bring together a selection of the best plates so that everyone enjoys a taste of the incredible variety offered. Whether to pair with food or simply for the pleasure of your palate, we enjoy our meal with wines from Greece, a country where Dionysus, the mythical god of wine, has been worshipped for thousands of years.
As we graze over delicious eats bursting with fresh flavors, let's toast over a cocktail and enjoy a lovely Saturday evening over our food-laden table in the warm company of old friends and new.
Our evening will begin with a Cocktail hour in the bar for 30 mins where small bites will be served like swordfish skewers and tapenade & feta on pita followed by a sit down dinner of 8 courses + a selection of desserts.
