THE DUCK AND PEACH | SOCIALLY CONSCIOUS DINING
It’s where you want to be on Capitol Hill!

Since 2020, we have seen the toll on restaurants and people in the hospitality industry and the resulting severity of staffing problems due to 'the great resignation' of the workforce in search of new careers that provide better financial stability in times of crisis. Now more than ever, some of the most interesting work in the fight for social justice is taking place in the field of food and restaurants. Chefs and restaurateurs all over the world are introducing new business models to help people in the industry get back on their feet.
So it is with great pleasure that we present our May supper club dining experience at DUCK AND PEACH which not only promises an evening of featuring delicious Neo-American cuisine (with undertones of Californian & French - oh! so fitting before we make our way to Burgundy in June) but recognizes that the the traditional restaurant compensation model in the US is broken. It fails to provide the kind of stability and equality of pay that restaurant employees deserves and ensures all workers receive fair and equitable pay in a transparent way.
Hence 22%.
In lieu of gratuity, this 22% service charge included in the cost of our dinner is so the restaurant can pay its employees a fair and livable wage striving to make hospitality a profession. Helloo Europe!
Furthermore, the restaurant supports wines that feature woman winemakers and owners from throughout the USA and beyond.

A CELEBRATION OF FOWL!
The menu features wonderful family-style dishes from the rotisserie grill, like a rotisserie duck with scallion salsa verde or Sunday roast chicken dinner.
The cooking, from chef Katarina Petonito, mirrors the setting. The food is tasteful in every way. Holly Silverman, the owner says her signature roast chicken is a little Ina, a little Zuni—“simple seasoning, crispy and moist, you can have a good conversation and it’s just helping things along.”
I hope you'll join our table!
warmly,
Devaki

Here's what past guests had to say"
"Wow! Devaki, of Weave a Thousand Journeys, hosted the most amazing Supper Club at Nostos in Tysons. We started with a lovely cocktail hour to reacquaint ourselves with friends not seen since COVID and to meet new ones. The food, service and wine were all delightful. Devaki planned everything so well and made this experience welcoming, fun and memorable. I can’t wait for the next Supper Club Devaki hosts. I know it will be great fun! - Barbara M
"It's always a great experience when you celebrate a meal with the Weave A Thousand Flavors Supper Club. The Lapis restaurant had great tasting authentic Afghani food served by a friendly and professional staff in a controlled yet bustling environment. The memories that I reflect on, as I think of our first outing of 2019, are the ones that celebrate the gastronaut members that make up the supper club. I enjoyed the welcoming atmosphere, the offering of friendship and the sharing of a meal as we celebrate the experience of breaking bread together. It just feels like home!!" - Chris B.
"What a great way to enjoy some fantastic food at a new place and meet with old friends and new! Devaki always picks such wonderful places for a true DC dining experience. Can’t wait for the next outing!" - April P
"Every Supper Club experience is unique in delicious cuisine and ambiance, and there's no better group with which to share them!" - Jon K
