Summer is in full swing but with graduations, all done with, I'm thrilled to share details for our next very exciting supper club event - HongKong Style Sunday Brunch at one of D.C's hottest eateries on July 14th.

This one is going to be a true foodie adventure and once you enter Tiger Fork with walls inspired by HongKong tattoo art, you will feel secreted away to a very different world (without ever pulling the passport out of your dresser!).

The drinks are one of many liquid draws, some relying on Chinese medicinals, offered at the convivial front bar. The dim interior finds brick walls painted over with dragons and lions, and balloon lights floating over chunky tables. Chef Irvin Van Oordt’s open kitchen, set off with red lights, comes with a message for the cooks in Chinese script: “Talk doesn’t cook the rice.”

My favorite Chow fun noodles wafting of dragon breathe is a sure winner and so are the succulent dim sum with pork and shrimp and chives. Steamed rice noodles rising from a chile-fired sauce of black beans and sesame seeds are equally awesome. Don't even get me started on the clams with black bean sauce!

Did I mention that the BBQ will have you swooning?! Succulent soya chicken — dropped off with condiments (green hot sauce, pickled vegetables, sweet scallion sauce). It takes me back to my Singapore hawker-center days and my days nibbling through the bustling Kowloon markets in HongKong.

I don't know about you but this is a darn good way to spend a Sunday morning!

Upon arrival, be seated at the communal table. As we get comfortable and await the arrival of all our guests, get comfortable, relax and soak in the sights and sounds of this dynamic restaurant. Share conversations with new & old found friends and feel your cares slip away as you relax over good food and wine.

 

Family style dishes featuring the Chefs signature brunch creations served as small plates, meant to be shared around the table will be served. If you're picky, no worries, just pass!

We are a group of unpretentious foodies. Some of us are in our late 40's, some in our 70's and all of us have been there and done that! So if you need to show your ID, you're probably too young to attend. Sorry!

 

No matter who you are, please do bring your humor, unique style,  an open-

mindedness to varied cultures and your culinary sense of adventure.

REFUNDS & CANCELLATION POLICY

All sales are final and we will only refund the monies if the event is canceled.

FOR OUR ALUMNI ONLY:

If you've attended any of our events or tours in the past and cannot attend the supper club event due to an emergency, please notify us via email at the soonest. We will credit your account for the cost of your ticket (minus Eventbrite fees) which can be used at any of our upcoming supper club events during the year. Your spot will then be released to the next person on the waitlist.
