Early evening, we will kick off our tour with introductions and a welcome drink. We will meet our Culinary & Historical expert on all things Lyonnaise, Anne who will guide us for an Introduction to Lyon tour.  This 2-hour experience with a local will help us with questions such as, "Where should I go for the best croissant?", navigate public transportation, understand local customs, and acquire a few French phrases to help you along the way! After this, what better way to set the mood for our culinary advantures ahead than to dine together at one of Lyon’s 100 year-old Bouchons!

DAY 2 . LYON | HISTORICAL FOOD TOUR + MICHELIN COOKING CLASS

After breakfast, we meet Anne and go for a walking tour of Lyon to discover the city in another way, guided interactive tour in the old city as well as the Presquîle. We visit the gothic Cathedral Saint Jean. We visit little grocery stalls, pastry shops, bakeries, typical restaurants and wine shops. Let’s taste salted and sweet samples and meet the shop keepers who love to share their passion as food artisans! Last but not least, we visit the famous covered market, Halles Paul Bocuse that is vital to Lyonnaise Gastronomy. As we walk through the old town, we visit famous traboules and miraboules, those hidden by-ways and corridors to go through the old city, listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1998.

Free afternoon at our leisure. In the evening we head to an incredible culinary space designed especially for foodie travelers with stone walls, arched ceilings, the cozy and intimate atmosphere of a wine cellar, Once a plenary room of a Masonic lodge during the Renaissance, this is now a little jewel dedicated to epicurean exploration. Cooking class with Michelin Chef followed by dinner with wine pairings.

DAY 3 . LYON | FREE MORNING + LYON WWII & RESISTANCE PRIVATE WALKING TOUR + DINNER AT ONE- MICHELIN STAR RESTAURANT

After breakfast, free time to explore the city on your own.  Early afternoon, we gather for an incredible tour especially for history and WWII buffs. During the Second World War, the city of Lyon played a key role in the liberation of France from the Nazis and thereafter became known as the Capital of the Resistance. This tour takes its participants back in time to when Lyon became a hotbed of Resistance against the enemy, almost entirely behind closed doors. Exploring from the north to the south of the Presqu’Ile via the Vieux Lyon, this tour presents some of the key figures of WWII and the heroes of the Resistance, and shows the streets, monuments and passageways where the clandestine battle for a free France played out. The tour will end a 15 mins walk away from the Center for History of the Resistance Museum (known as the CHRD) and is highly recommended. Museum is open Wed-Sun and closes at 6:00 pm. Free time at your leisure before dinner.

For our farewell Lyon Dinner, we head to a ONE Michelin Restaurant, in the heights of Fourvière; an elegant restaurant with a splendid view of the city and a Relais & Chateaux gem. Classical cooking which places the emphasis on quality regional produce. Several courses with wine service.

Approx. 2.5 miles walking tour with stops.

Meals: Breakfast, Tastings, ONE Michelin Star Dinner with wine pairings
