Located between Virginia’s Eastern Shore mainland and the famous Assateague Island here's a place to enjoy the Chincoteague National Wildlife Refuge, 37 miles of unspoiled beach, Assateague Lighthouse, Eastern Coastal migratory birds and, of course, the Chincoteague wild ponies!

Chincoteague is filled with yesteryear charm so let's spend the weekend away from the haste of life and spend some time taking relaxing walks on the beach, enjoying spectacular sunsets over the Chincoteague Bay & breathing in the clean fresh air.

There are so many reasons to love Chincoteague, but we are visiting especially on this weekend to enjoy the 50th Annual Chincoteague Seafood Festival.

We will enjoy the delights of Chincoteague in the warm & elegant comforts of a Historical Bed & Breakfast - 1848 Island Manor Inn.

The Inn has 9 well-appointed guest bedrooms and comfortable common rooms which provide ample space for relaxation, games, conversation, or a quiet glass of wine! A lovely garden courtyard with soft music and a bubbling fountain will welcome us &  is just the perfect place to enjoy an early morning cup of freshly brewed coffee while reading the morning paper.

After a wonderful gourmet breakfast we will be ready to seize the day. But let's not forget that this is a culinary vacation!

So this weekend, in addition to the seafood festival, we'll enjoy a wine hour in the evening, a lovely traditional English Afternoon on our day of arrival, dinner at a local favorite as well as a Sunday farewell brunch. So I hope you'll join!

Chincoteague awaits....

"The boat ride to see the wild ponies of Chincoteague was a dream come true. I've waited 50+ years to see them! The aqua farming was the icing on the cake..."~
